In His Arms

She liked his arms around her, he made everything feel okay.
She liked his arms around her, but there was something off about today.

She liked his arms around her, so she could sing to the beat of his heart.
She liked his arms around her, but today it did not seem play its part.

She liked his arms around her, for they swallowed her up in an instant.
She liked his arms around her, but today they seemed very distant.

She liked his arms around her, always there when the nights were cold,
She liked his arms around her, but today they did not have any hold.

She liked his arms around her, they had always made her calm.
She liked his arms around her, but maybe today she’ll accept what it has become.

My ride or die

I thought you would always be there for me, why? Because you were my best hommie.

You were the only one that really understood, the only one that knew when I was up to no good.

With you I was always carefree, and there was never the slightest need for me to worry.

Your magical kiss always threw my mind off balance, and together I thought we were the greatest alliance.

But then we parted ways; you went left and I went right, oh the cold days; our friendship was shelved coz of the frost-bite.

Getting over you was the hardest thing to do; I swear I did try, day after day convincing myself to believe in what I knew was a lie.

But during the thick of things you did come by, and showed me what it really meant to ride or die.

Now I know you’ll always be here for me, why? Because you are my best hommie.

The only one that really does understand, the one thats always by my right hand.

With you I’m always carefree, and there’s never the slightest need for me to worry.

Your magical kiss, just like the old times, throws my mind off balance, and together, just like the old times, I know we’re the greatest alliance!

When she looked at me, all she saw was disaster,
when I looked at her, all I saw was a new chapter.
When she looked at me, she saw no direction,
when I looked at her, I had found a new addiction.

When she looked at me, I was completely lost, when I looked at her, I had to protect her at all cost.
When she looked at me, I could see the lies twisting around in her eyes, when I looked at her . . . that is when I finally realised.

When I look at her, all I see is disaster,
when she looks at me, all she sees is a lost chapter.
When I look at her, I see no direction,
when she looks at me, she sees an unsatiable addiction.

When I look at her, she is completely lost, when she looks at me, there’s no longer protection not even at a cost.
When I look at her, she can see the lies twisting around in my eyes, when she looks at me . . . that is when she finally does realise.

Just Another Sign

Tears from eyes, cloudy as the skies, hit the ground like rain, just another sign of my pain.

Broken smile on my face, my cover for every new day I face, torn, broken and hollow , just another sign of my sorrow.

Heart pounding with no peace, lips yearning for one last kiss, lost in thoughts deeper than a lake, just another sign of my hearts ache.

Voices speak in hushed tones, body left with nothing but bones, I move about unable to walk with ease, that’s the last sign from my disease . . .

You

As I look into your big brown eyes,
I stand in total surprise,
As beautiful as the sunrise,
Never have I seen such eyes.

Oh! Look at that smile,
As many as I have walked a mile,
Even after crossing the Nile,
Not have I seen such a smile.

When I look at your face,
My heart begins to race,
My mind travels to outer space,
My memory beginis to erase,
My my, what a face.

Look at those full lips,
And those matching and shapely hips,
Each time I see them my hear leaps,
Every secret they tell I promise to keep,
Untill I am buried down into the earth; Six feet deep.

The End

I took the gun and pointed it
to my chest, with shakey
hands and sweaty palms I was
full of unrest.

In my left hand was a bottle
of cheap liquor which I liked
to drink plain, this, had been
helping me numb away the
pain.

But the pain was now too
much to bear, all the questions
with no answers made me
hate every breath of fresh air.

Every sip I took stirred up
more emotion, this is what I
liked to call ‘the magic
portion’.

But the magic it used to
contain was now long gone, I
used to be a king but now
there was no longer a throne.

Memories of her started
flashing in my head, at this
point the only thing left for
me was to be dead.

I took one last gulp and flung
the bottle in the air, my lungs
were filled with the smell of
fresh gun powder and when
the bottle hit the ground, I no longer stood there . . .
